Two recent Intarweb controversies join forces: Anti-copying rootkit used to hide from anti-cheating spyware

Now if only they could work plot patents in somehow.

Personally, I don't mind the Warden, or I wouldn't be playing the game it's a part of. I think Sony's rootkit is a pretty nasty bit of malware, and the fact that it can be used against the Warden is merely incidental.

I mean, cheating is bad, spyware is bad, and the rootkit is very bad... I guess it is kind of funny in the end, though.
