Not because you have to, but because you WANT to! Things you enjoy, even when no one around you wants to go out and play. What lowers your stress/blood pressure/anxiety level? Make a list, post it to your journal... and then tag 5 friends and ask them to post it to theirs.Well...
- Browsing the web, grabbing a cup of coffee, or simply walking around the downstairs can sometimes handle the little stuff. An episode of CSI or a good book will do the same.
- There are particular songs that I can get lost in (like Clubbed to Death and Time); listening to these on repeat will relax me, especially with the volume turned up.
- When I'm stressed because I have a difficult decision to make, taking a trip down the I-5 (on, say, a Sunday around noon, when there isn't much traffic) can help me relax and think. To the south, the 5 runs down along the coast, and it's pretty fun to drive along it.
- Taking a quiet meal alone at a restaurant tends to calm me as well.
