Obfus for the occasion.

Today is International Talk Like A Pirate Day. Today is also Hermione Granger's birthday. Coincidence? WE THINK NOT!

So, in honor of the twin occasions:
perl -e '$|=s//z"A";z"e"juvyr\$|/;s/z/cevag/g;
y/n-za-m/a-z/;eval'
perl -e 's!!wunis,wfdl%d-%+jfw#X(064+
riwfdl%/f2.-%+%21450036254640555?61036250>6340?
34705764?6>>2?507?00773?15045425>0647%!;
eval pack"c*",map$_^7,unpack"c*",$_'
I'm not really much of an obfuscator, I suppose, but I was in the mood. (Line breaks are solely to keep them within the edges of the window, and should be removed before execution.)

Both of those are obfuscated Perl programs; in other words, I wrote them to look as much like gibberish as possible. The first prints the letter "A", then prints "r" over and over until you force it to close. The second just prints the string "Oh, honestly!".

Writing obfuscated Perl is a common pastime for Perl hackers.

You know, you really ought to meet my husband...I'm pretty sure he used to program in Perl. I have no idea what he uses now; he makes his living selling used books on Amazon.

You can take the programmer out of Perl, but you can't take Perl out of the programmer.

*cough*

Your obfu amuses me.

(Particularly the "Oh, honestly!". It needs to be paired up with the "Arrr...." for maximum effect, as you presented it.)

thanks for the translation. I don't even know how to run it, let alone understand what it just did. =)
