This administration has had many sins, but this is far too big to pin on them. It's been building for three decades or more, and is based on the simple fact that Americans have been borrowing to fuel their consumption, weakening the dollar tremendously, and that reality is finally becoming clear to the market.

I'm not disagreeing with you, but I also have to say that spending countless billions on chasing proverbial windmills hasn't helped at all, not to mention other things.
